Hey yall
Got a beardie whos about 6 yrs old and he hasnt pooped in 3 weeks. His basking spots at 100 degrees and lives in a 4x2x2 enclosure. He also gets baths twice a week. He eats about once every 3-4 days as he refuses to eat any sooner. When he does eat, he has a big bowl of veggies and eats...
Update: Beardie seems to he looking much better! The shrivled part of the tail continued to expand and then fell off about two weeks ago. Been giving him antibiotics and have seen no sign of any infections. The area where his tail fell off has healed nicely with new scales. Thanks for all the help!
I give him live crickets every day and leave a salad in his bowl. Hes not a very picky eater considering he tried to eat a candy wrapper he found on the floor earlier haha!
Im going to be out for two weeks and I have someone coming over to feed them. I won’t be able to supply them with live food those two weeks so i was wondering what the best alternative would be.
Do you know if canned insects are good for my beardie? I want to get some but I’m not sure if I can use it in his regular diet or if its more of a treat. And is it ok to feed my beardie dried insects regularly or should that also be kept as a treat?
Thanks for the tank recommendations! Really going to help with the tank search. Im using T8 UVB bulbs which is what our vet recommended. They aren’t coils. Using zoomed 100w bulb which seems to be heating fine to me.
