    New family member!

I wasn’t suggesting it should take the place of adequate husbandry. There are plenty of know-it-alls on here wirh instructions and criticisms. I was suggesting a comfort taxtic to utilize to ease relocation stress a little faster. After rescuing dozens of sick and injured dragons, I am...

    Diarrhea in beardies

Add some yellow squash to her diet. It will help with the diarrhea symptoms.

    New family member!

I know this is going to sound unusual, but it works-when you go in to feed her, sing softly to her. (Doesn’t matter if it’s row, row, row your boat, show tunes, or any ballad of your choice.). They are fascinated by all the sounds we can make with our voices. They can’t do that, so it’s...

    How far is too far

Hi there. I have been rescuing bearded dragons for 7 years, so I understand your concern. The reality is, right now, she may be in pain, but giving her the right care, especially lighting, heat, and nutrition, will relieve most of the pain in a fairly short period of time. However, the...

Vet cant tell me whats wrong with my bearded dragon

Hi there. I have a dragon that is nearly 7 years old, with new mobility issues. I personally wouldn’t euthanize a dragon just for mobility. (I rescue dragons, so I have taken in many that walk “colorfully”, some regained a normal gait, some did not,) As long as he is otherwise healthy, change...

    Worried about my beardie

Make sure what you’re seeing is a sperm plug, and not a prolapse. Don’t pull until you know!!! Stress of having slight constipation and trying to go can cause a prolapse, so be sure you know the difference.

    Something stuck in vent

My vet recommends mineral oil or food grade aloe vera gel. If you’re bathing often, it also helps keep skin and scales from drying out if you put a teaspoon in the bath, and won’t hurt him if he eats it.

How often can I bathe my beardie?

Hi! Congratulations on your new little guy! I know the required baths are 2-3 times a week, but it’s also true that kidney failure from dehydration kills a lot of little dragons every year. I rescue dragons, and I bathe mine daily. They love it, and are well hydrated. If you notice their...

    It finallly happened :(

Im so sorry for your loss. You clearly loved and took excellent care of her, all her long and amazing life. . When your heart has had to time to heal, you can honor her legacy by allowing another sweet dragon the opportunity to be loved and cared for by you, and the tank will be lit up and...

New beardie mom - Help please :(

Get the tune uvb light as soon as possible, reptisun 10.0, and double check your temps with a digital temp gun or digital probe. Babies need a basking spot anoit 104-110 degrees and a cool side 82-85 degrees. Good luck with him, he’s a cutie!

    New owner

Congratulations on your new dragon! There are some wonderful Youtube videos on “all things dragon” that will help you. I recommend you watch Animal1Guy who has an excellent video on lighting, and LizardGuru for tips on nutrition and general care. A good book is The Bearded Dragon Manual, which...

Advice for caring for horribly neglected babies.

See if you can get some omnivore emergency care powdered supplement to syringe feed Goblin. Should ne able to het it on Amazon, (carnivore care is ok too,) as that will give him complete nutrition while he eats it, until he can consume bugs and veggies more readily. Best of luck with them!

Day 2 with our baby mr.cell

There are some great youtube videos for all things bearded dragon. I’d recommend Animal1Guy (just did a video on lighting, that blew a lot of misinformation out of the water,) and LizardGuru. Both have great and detailed information! He’s a cutie! Good luck with him!

Help Needed From Owners (For Research)

Hi there. Wow, there are some people with issues on this forum, sorry about that. One question went crazy. . In my research, which isn’t extensive, I found the oldest “documented “ bearded dragon was ‘Sebastian” from the UK, who was 18 years, 237 days old when he passed peacefully in his...

    Very stressed bebe..

Keep an eye on his basking temps too. What you used in the 20 gal tank might not be enough for the 40 gal. Also, if he’s over a year old he might be toying woth the idea of a first brumation. Tube uvb and good basking temps should bring him around, if it’s not brumation. Of you have any...
