yes I'm sure they're not fertile eggs. I'm just trying to figure out how long I should leave her in the dig box. Should I let her stay till she comes out? After what about of time can I put her back in her normal enclosure?
Wow that was fast, first day if having a dig box we got eggs. Only reason I saw was a partial collapse. I feel bad though, gonna have to dispose of the nonfertilized eggs. Does this bother the beardies? When should I dispose of the eggs?
I did get organic soil. I was careful about that. The sand soil ratio is hard. I haven't figured out how to keep it from collapsing yet. I'm going to try compacting it a little if I start her dig over again.
I couldn't find any topsoil so I used garden soil and playsand. I guess top soil has more clay content as the garden soil has more peetmoss and I think bark. Not entirely sure the difference , but I'm trying. She dug all the way to the bottom. I need a deeper digbox I guess.
lol funny video skybug
I've had a hard time finding any credible source for the maximum age a female beardie can lay eggs. I saw a post of someone saying that their 10 year old was laying eggs. still doing reseach for this but i'm going to try making a lay box and see what happens. Thanks for...
I'm glad I'm not the only one that has to play hid and seek with my dragon. I'm new at this. I got two bearded dragons last year from someone that wasn't taking care of them. The other one is 13 and they still try to mate. I didn't really think about her not being fertile. I guess i'll have to...
I think it was around 7PM that she did this. And she is about 7 years old. I let her run around and sometimes I have to search all over to find her, but where she was had cold air blowing on her. I like the lay box idea. I didn't know about that. I'll look into this more. Thank for the idea Skybug
My female beardie has been glass surfing lately. When I let her run around she just runs around the house non stop and I can't tell if its normal or of there is a purpose for it, like maybe she's looking for something. One day I had my ac on and she laid down next to the vent with cold air...
