    Sorry for taking so long to reply back. I took him to the vet and left him with the vet for care, unfortunately he didn't make it through the night. The poor guy was in more pain than I thought.

    Same here. I had a good cry as soon as I noticed the poor thing this morning, unfortunately since they aren't my pets I don't handle them often but for the past week I have taken over the care for them.. It never crossed my mind to look underneath the dragon.

    Thank you. I have found a reptile vet within an hours travel so I will take him first thing in the morning. I'm going to clean out his enclosure and his wound is clean. Thankfully he is still eating and drinking and letting me handle him.

    He is kept on a very thin layer of sand and my boyfriend removes the poo from the enclosure every few days. Is there anything I can do in the meantime before getting to a vet?
