I am a 4th grade science teacher who loves critters! I’ve been teaching for 11 years and I’ve had many “class pets” throughout the years. I currently have a captive breed corn snake (a beautiful bright yellow), 2 leopard geckos, and a bearded dragon. In the past I’ve also had hermit crabs, several other types of snakes, a guinea pig and fish. Needless to say, the students love my classroom and they get the opportunity to learn how to respect and care for a variety of creatures. Out of all of the animals I’ve had, I would have to say the bearded dragon is by far my favorite. My first bearded dragon was named Buddy and he passed away after 8 wonderful years. My students were devastated. However, a few weeks ago, we adopted a new beardie baby. The kids named her Luna. I look forward to watching her grow and I am thinking about purchasing a male to breed her with when she is old enough. Until then, I am continually learning more about breeding beardies and searching for Luna’s perfect mate.
My female beardie is a yellow citrus hypo, 66% het zero and 50% het trans/wit.
