That website didn’t bring up any vets near me however I have just been given details of an exotic vet from a friend. I was just looking at him and I am now wondering if he might have an infection or something as his eyes looked watery and a bubble appeared, I managed to get a photo.
Distance from UVB bulb to his back is 12inches his head is obviously closer he can move up and down log to get closer or further away if he wants. I will try and find a reptile vet close by and get a blood test done. Thank you
I set up his viv with @Sadie when he was a baby, he has an Arcadia UVB t5 12% and an exo terra intense basking spot heat bulb which is controlled by a dimmer. He also has a CHE which comes on at night if the temps drop. All are set at correct distances. I wonder if maybe I should lower his...
Hi Tracie,
Thank you for getting back to me, it has been gradual, I’ve just looked back over photos and it seems that for the last year they have been slowly becoming more frog like.
Amy
His eyes were not like this before, I’m trying to remember how long they have been like this but photos I have taken a while back did not show the ‘bulge’, could it still be genetic in light of that? I’ll wait to hear as advised, thanks @Sadie.
Hi all,
I have noticed around both my beardies eyes are enlarged, there has been no discharge or anything else I have noticed, he is eating, pooping and acting completely normal. At first I thought maybe around his eye were due to shed but nothing yet, they have been like this for a few weeks...
My beardie didn’t eat for two weeks, I only moved his tank from one side of the room to another. They really react to changes of their view from the viv. Every year at Xmas my guy gets the hump for a few days because of the decorations .
There was another post on here a while back and someone was asking about their eggs, a particular member was talking about the different subtle signs you see, veins etc have a search about in the forum, I’m sure you will find it.
Are you checking humidity too? Night light…. No lights at night, if temps drop low use a ceramic heater.
Just a thought but I had to move my guys viv off the floor onto a cabinet, I think he thought he was going to get stepped on and used to hide.
