    Substrate Cleaning

    So I was thinking of using the dessert sand that they sell, I was wondering, do I have to fully clean it out or remove it once a month? I heard some say yes and some say no, just spot clean is fine. I would hate to put 3 inches of sand and remove all of it and refill.
