Ares
Ares was my first reptile i had ever own. I got him when the ending of my junior year of high school. When we first rescued him, he was very sickly and discolored. We thought he wouldn't make it through the night. As we were not prepared for him, the first night we had only a tank and a heater my friend, who owned snakes, gave me. That first night he was always on someones chest or in the bed with us. When it was time to go to sleep, we put him in his new home. Ares was a fighter and still is. Since then, he has gained his weight and color back. He can be a grumpy old man but a sweetheart at the same time.
As for me, I am an eighteen year old who knows way too much about animals. Im currently in college pursing the degree of Wildlife and fisheries in hopes of being an endangered animal specialist or a fish biologist. I am currently a certified SCUBA diver with: open water, advanced open water, night diving, and fish identification. I also am trained in pet (dog/cat) nutrition. This summer (2019) I'm planning on getting certified in animal nutrition. Currently I have 12 animals. 2 cats, Suri and Osiris. 2 gerbils, Freya and Skadi. Beardie, Ares. Aquatic turtle, Squirt (Rescued not bought). And an unnamed tarantula. Also 5 feeder minnows who Squirt refuses to eat.
