I can re-angle the halogen spot light then. Not much else I can do other than that since the vents on the roof prevent it from being moved closer to the front of the cage. Actually, I wonder if I can attach a brooding clamp light to the top of the enclosure with screws and cut a hole the size...- Allan P

@Mom2Dovakiin That means so much to me. I've been working on this enclosure a little bit at a time since December. Would it be better to get a higher wattage flood light and aim it at a spot further away?- Allan P

It's maybe 5 or so from the spot it's focused on. It gets to about 100 degrees or so.- Allan P

Progress as of 2/4
The platform is made of oak plywood, oak boards and 2x4's that were all stained with Kona stain by rustoleum. I have yet to seal the platform yet.- Allan P

Yep, it's my current build. I have broken tiles on the top back above the unbroken ones now too. Thank you!! I wanted to do something different than what everyone else was doing. Next steps are to grout the back wall and put broken tiles up on the side walls.- Allan P

Aww. I have a mealworm colony that I use for my leopard gecko. I was hoping to use that for now. Yeah, I tried breeding them a few years ago but it only resulted in a complete failure. I have 10 female and 5 male dubia adults coming next week. Hopefully that will allow the colony to start...- Allan P

Thank you!! I was leaning each piece against something while I screwed it together. I'm staining and sealing the exterior right now. I have a quick question. I hate crickets as they die due to anything. Thinking about death causes them to die. Are mealworms truly a bad feeder until I can...- Allan P

Yeah, It will all be mounted inside the enclosures. I actually started assembling wood for it's enclosure later on already. I have it put together most of the way and only stopped because I ran out of screws. I'm not good with my hands at all but I did this without help. :)- Allan P
