Brumation or sickness?

Huh, I’ve heard that they can’t see the red light. So if I understood it right, I need to to get a ~75W bulb for the baking spot, and change the uvb.
so what should I do with my dragon? Try to feed him as much as possible and not let him sleep?
also I have African land snails on top, since it’s warm next to the light :)
what are African land snails exactly? I never seen those particular snails before, actually you know what; I'll do my own searching

Hi; we reacue and rehome. Never ever use colored or coiled bulbs. A Beardie needs a CLEAR heat bulb the best is Zoomed basking bulb either a 75watt or100Watt and a UVB. The best and proper Uvb is the Reptisun 10.0 T5. It’s a long tubular bulb the length U order should cover 70 percent of the tank and placed starting at the hot side and should be 10inches minimum away form him or more. Alll UVBs need replacing every 6mntjs or he will get MBD; brittle bones, unable to move, walk or eat, shakes, tremors and Eventually death. Leave both the UVB & heat lamp on for 10-12 hours in the winter and 12-14 hours on in the summer. At nite all lights off; they kike quiet and dark & always remove all food and water from the tank at bedtime. The temp for a Beardie over 8mnths old should be 95-98. U need a digital thermometer and a digital hygometer ($10 each at petssmart or Amazon) to get the best and most accurate temps & also an infrared gun from Home Depot or Amazon which u shine an inch away from the basking spot to monitor temps. Play around buy a 75watt heat bulb and a 100 watt assuming your tank is 24 inches high u can raise the bulb with a raiser or get a lower or higher basking platform. The Humidity should be 30-40 never higher than 40. If the temp drops below 70 at bedtime in the winter then get him a 60watt ceramic heat emitter to place above where he sleeps; this emits heat but no light. Calcium 3-4 times a week but only once per day lightly sprinkled on the feeders like salt on fries. Baths twice per week In lukewarm dechlorinated dechlorinated water for 15min minimum and more baths when he’s shedding. Also mist him a few times a day. Here are some photos of the calcium powder/vitamin, the lights and the cages Amd the hideaways so they can hide also they love hammocks and love to watch Tv; I leave mine on all day for my beardies on soft mellow shows they don’t like violence or loud shooting etc.

Now he has a hammock and he is more active. However he still doesn’t want to eat. He did poop tho :) Now he just tries to get out of the tank, scratching the glass. Does he not like it?

What is the distance from the UVB to the basking decor? The basking temp should be taken w/ a digital probe thermometer on the hammock - what UVB did you get? Your dragon needs a tank upgrade ASAP - the tank hes in is too small and that is why or could be why hes scratching at the glass -- he is wanting out --- but you must get your basking temps and the UVB correctly placed --- another reason for scratching at the glass ---

Too close for a T 8 please move it up or lower the basking decor 6-8 inches please - you also want it directly over him --- please make adjustments to the UVB and temps and see what happens w/ the behavior but I would start working on getting him a new tank - are you in the states ?

Get him out of the tank and hold him and pet him to calm him down he’s stressed out cuz the tank changed drastically & maybe the temp is way too Hot. Also; if their body isn’t warm from basking for an hour or two then they can’t eat. There protein feeding should be after an hour or so after basking. The uvb should be 7-10inches minimum away or more if it’s a T8. And maybe the heat bulb is too close to him & he’s blazing hot. What wattage is it? I have a 120 gallon tank so my heat bulb is 150watts and I keep it 20inches or so away but the temp in my home is like 75. If using a 100Watt u can be a bit closer the heat bulb should be 14inches away or more with a 100Watt bulb. U need a digital themmoters and an infrared gun to get it exact. Also, he’s prolly freaked out because he has nowhere to hide, make sure he has a hideaway & Please check the temps.

I have ordered a 150x60x60 tank. It should arrive in October.

Update: I am waiting for a new tank to arrive. He eats more but not a lot, and also only by hand feeding. He does poop every other day or so! He tries to hide in his hideaway to sleep. When I let him run around the house he finds the coldest and darkest spots to curl up in. I am guessing he really wants to brumate. But I’m afraid he is too skinny and it can hurt him! I have finally found the perfect spot for the basking lamp so that it has the right temperatures.

Morris try and order the Reptisun 10.0 T5 the T8 is not as bright. We rescue and rehome the length u order should cover 70 percent of the tank and beardie need sa hideaway inder the hammock is good plus a big hideaway basking cave. Or at least one of the 2. Also replace the UVb every 6Mnths religiously & get a clear zoomed bulb for heat never use colored or coiled bulbs. At night all lights off.
