not unusual - nothing to be concerned about. some do. some dont. some do sometimes and not others

I was told that when they do that, that could mean they need more calcium. Their exo is full of calcium.

It's not something they normally do but it's not unheard of. Just make sure he's getting all the supplements he needs. mxw0rld is right he could be lacking something. Most animals that eat their shed do it one to hide it from predators and two to get extra nutrients.
