I ordered 2000 superworms for 24 dollars with 10.33 shipping. Arrived alive at a great price. 15 out of 15 points on my pointless scale.
Mealworms have a much higher ratio of chitlin in their exoskeleton and a low moisture content making them hard to digest. Superworms are a much softer worm making them easier to digest and pass and have much more moisture...however superworms are high in fat making them not a staple food item. What is the difference between a superworm and mealworm? I thought I read mealworms weren't good for bearded dragons because of the hard shell.
Boat load of tarantulas, 3 beardies, leopard gecko. Had more 5 years back but rescue pets with 10 year lifespans don't live more than 5 more years sadly. That is a LOT of supers! What all are you feeding?
Yes. If tong feeding they're great. They do tend to burrow into substrate so I only give them to responsive feedersTarantulas will eat superworms? I never even considered feeding them to our tarantula. She may enjoy something other than crickets every once in a while.
