Sorry-- what are you using for your UVB? Depending on the bulb and screen will depend on proper placement--

75watt basking and the UVB lights are T8 and built right into the cover so no screen, Although one bulb stopped working on one side so do use a 50watt Uvb bulb as well

Ok your basking decor should be 6-8 inches directly below- T 8's are not as strong for distance- what is a 50 watt UVB ? Is that a coil?
