Is My Dragon Different?

Is Gojo a normal color or does he have possible yellow breeding?

When i got my dragon (Gojo) two years ago he was dark/dull in color but i have had him two years now and he has been getting noticeably yellow. he also seems pretty big to me but i haven't measured (or sexed) him (he wasn't friendly at the store and i thought by not handling him i was 'respecting his boundaries') so i'm just recently trying to handle him daily and get him used to being handled without freaking out. that is why i don't have a sex or measurement for him yet. anyway a friend of mine told me recently that his color isn't like a normal dragon. I just thought all dragons got more color after feeding it and not stressing it out as much as it was in the store as a young adult. (he was bigger than all the others in the tank by at least a third so if he was from that clutch he was a freakishly large juvie). Anyway i don't have much to compare him to now, so i joined the forum to see what dragon keepers think. is he unusually yellow? maybe some hidden color breeding in him or is he a pretty but average joe? Thanks! (tried to give as many photos in sunlight as i could, also he isn't on sand anymore.)

He has a parent that was yellow (common color but still a morph). If you breed him to a special girl (translucent or hypo with a nice solid yellow color) over half the clutch should take after the mother.

He does seem normal looking when he is cold or asleep. However I just read that a hypo will have clear nails? Or at least not solid black ones? He does have a vein but some of his nails are lighter than others, almost clear. I also heard a lot of dragons these days do have some form of special genetic just because of how popular they are, bloodlines crossing everywhere. The more i learn about beardies, the more i am curious about trying to raise a clutch someday. I like the idea of getting him a mate so he has a full life experience, and seeing babies hatch, but not sure if its ethical if i might not be able to find them homes? And its a dangerous physical process to a female to a degree. Oh and i used a thread to measure him nose to tail following the spine. If i measured him correctly he is 22.5 inches. He also likes to dangle his body for some reason so he might be a little fat too.

Here's a pic of my girls nails, she's a hypo all 10 nails are clear. No black line but nails have kind of a pink hue to them.

You're welcome. Not sure exactly what color she is. Most of the time she looks yellow and then sometimes the orange really comes out.
