Baby Beardies First Shed - With Me

Hi friends!

I have a beardie who's about 2 months old. I've had him for almost 3 weeks and haven't had issues handling him until the last week or so. I believe that is because he was getting ready to shed, which he started today.
Anyways, when I try to hold him, he hisses and lunges at me. I read this is pretty normal for shedding time.
My question is, do I hold him anyways or not? I want to be able to handle him when he's older and ensure he's tamed, but I don't want to traumatize him. I'm just not sure how to proceed here.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

They can get pretty uncomfortable and grumpy during a shed. I think it may be best to take your cues from him. If he seems overly stressed then let him be, but if he's just being grouchy, then I would still handle, but maybe less/shorter times than normal. :0)
