    MISS EVERYONE

Just wanted to tell everyone how much I miss this board and the people on it. Maybe one day if what I have reverses, I can become active again. The one think I would like to say is that the overall kindness you have all given me has done so much for my health you will never know. Some don't...

    Tail Rot??

Bobbi. The end of the tail looks nice and rounded. The surgeon did an absolutely beautiful job because cosmetically, the tail really looks great! Do they have reptile plastic surgeons and if there are, did one perform the procedure on the tail? I'm really happy for you and it should be the...

    Please Help in Directing Me.....

That's weird. I liked your post but never read it until now. Anyone thanks again dear . Did you get a chance to read the article that I left for you (as well as others)? It's in the "Tail Rot" thread.

    Tail Rot??

PatsyB, Check this out. My hat goes off to you. http://www.worldwidewounds.com/2003/july/Clewlow/Vet-History-Review.html The truth is, I sort of felt, at least with wound care, Betadine is going to work the same on most soft tissue. But since I wasn't sure, I didn't want to commit. Read...

I'm not sure if the following are national chains but is that material sold at Lowes or Home Depot?

    Please Help in Directing Me.....

I would also like to apologize to everyone for not even being constantly aware ( ) of the option of "liking a post" so please accept my heartfelt apologies and I will try to start becoming more aware of that as well as making it a habit of "Liking" a post when I do. It has been one...

    Please Help in Directing Me.....

I was wondering if anyone here can tell me where I can purchase plastic mesh material that is BPA free? It's about time that I put something in my Beardies house (specifically slate rocks) that I plan to first glue on to a piece of good wood with "Gorilla Glue." After hopefully accomplishing...

    Tail Rot??

EXACTLY. That's what it is. They do in fact steal one's heart. A MUCH better way than saying that they are very endearing. When my son gave his (and what is now mine) B.D. to me I had never seen or heard of one. But it only took about a week and I haven't looked back once since then!

    Tail Rot??

GREAT JOB. I'm so happy for you and the little guy. You made my day. Good surgeon. Area looks nice and clean. Your Beardie should live a good long healthy life with many years of enjoyment for both of you!

    Tail Rot??

I am so sorry. I haven't been able to get to the computer from my last post and so I never saw this. Hdrydr31. Thank you so much for your acknowledgement. You have NO IDEA how far that went for me. Maybe I will discuss the reason another time because I would like to try to stick around here...

    Tail Rot??

I was under the impression that the tail would be soaked in the solution. If not, to cleanse the wound with Betadine followed by Normal Saline Solution would work as long as that area is not exposed to Betadine for that long. Your dealing with VERY thin tissue. Betadine has been banned in many...

    Tail Rot??

Just curious. What field are you in? B.D. Literature says H2O2 but that's frowned upon. Most wound care centers and specialists use NSS as it cleans and doesn't burn at all. I ended off saying that I certainly don't specialize in Reptilian care. I read PatsyB's post as "using Betatine" after...

    Tail Rot??

Oh boy. Here we go again. Now I am in trouble. PatsyB. Astringents' will dry up the area and make the area more "brittle" IMO so I'm not sure when you said you never knew it had astringent properties and went on to say to use it. That's why I don't think I'm qualified!
