Getting a new dragon to eat...

Well, I'm not sure if it's something we did or if he was sick to begin with. But, this morning, Twitch passed away. I'm assuming he hadn't eaten anything but the two worms the first day and the couple small crickets he ate after his first week. I think, for the time being, I'm going to stay...

Getting a new dragon to eat...

I've just read up on bath time procedures, so we're planning a soak soon. We'll raise his basking platform up o get the proper temps. Browsing on Tapatalk from my iPhone :)

Kids under 5 years around beardies?

Some facts I dug up for a speech I gave are that you are just as likely to contract salmonella from a dogs waste as an reptile. Hope that helps! Browsing on Tapatalk from my iPhone :)

Getting a new dragon to eat...

It was mid shed when we picked it up from the store. It still has a little shed on the tip of its nose, but I didn't figure soaking it was a good idea ( like it is in leopard geckos). As for size, he is approximately 6 inches including tail. Temps read 97 on the basking platform, which he...

Getting a new dragon to eat...

So, we let him sit in his cage with proper heat (halogen bulb and a UVB) for about four days now. Minimal handling, a dish of regular (not giant) meal worms available and water. We recently added in veggies (mustard greens and acorn squash) diced up really small. He didn't go for either, which I...

PetSmart & other Pet Store Rants

It honestly only takes a day for them to die. They need a well ventilated enclosure and food that really should be moist (like I use grape fruit wedges). I also clean out the cricket bucket (I use a 5 gallon bucket :) ) every other day. Feeding days are the days after I clean the bucket...

    Probably Overthinking heating/Ceramic Tile

Actually, the reptile carpet is severely difficult to clean. It can harbor bacteria for a long time. Tile is the best bet, next to paper towels. Newspaper is "good", but the ink will rub off. ;) I've personally seen leopard geckos with teeth and toes stuck in the reptile carpet, so I imagine...

    Probably Overthinking heating/Ceramic Tile

Ceramic is actually an insulator rather than a conductor for heat, so even if your bd doesn't know what's good for him you shouldn't run into many problems for now. ;) Browsing on Tapatalk from my iPhone :)

PetSmart & other Pet Store Rants

I've honestly heard of people being asked not to return because they kept on the employees about it, haha. Sad stuff when proper husbandry is ignored for cheaper rules. Browsing on Tapatalk from my iPhone :)

PetSmart & other Pet Store Rants

Yes, both smart and co are like that. With their rules, "difficult" or problem feeder ball pythons (a species NOTORIOUS for being problem feeders) starve because they get offered frozen thawed pinky mice regardless of size. My 400g boy can put down small rats and they'd feed him pinky MICE...

    Which Do You Like Better???

I understand what you mean. I just started teaching myself HTML, Javascript, and a dabble in PHP after I began my CS degree. Just a little robust'ing around the edges of my resume with programming languages. I haven't bought a domain or hosting for it, yet but all the files are there for when I...

    Which Do You Like Better???

I think the second one is very busy like you said, but my own style choices are against the whole "website above a background image". I like simplicity, though, so there are some style choices I would make like an integrated interface into a solid background. Browsing on Tapatalk from my iPhone :)

Looking good so far! I know the board your describing, I might end up doing something similar with that same board type; thanks for the tip! :) Browsing on Tapatalk from my iPhone :)

    Ramp for a bearded dragon?

Haha, then liquid cement? I'm not sure how I can go about this without messing with grout and sealer. Browsing on Tapatalk from my iPhone :)
