Actually, setting the heat lamp outside the viv would probably sound the most reasonable.

@Allan P that sounds perfect. that is what i did with mine. i cut the screen the size of each dome so there is no break or interruption of light uvb getting to my Babies. the cut is just enough to hold the dome securely so if it topples over no worries. in my animal kingdom i must have a cover on all enclosures because i have a frisky cat, a python, a ferret, uromastyx and 3 BD, of course. Thank goodness I own my home. lol. lets see the final results looking Fabulous .
