When you're so excited for breakfast you start sleeping in your food dish using that "green stuff" as a pillow.

Male (up top) is hypo trans leather x Cawley Belgium blood (2xhet)

Female (in the dish) is coral kakadu x yellow hypo her trans

Both are from daichu dragons born in March.

First time posting.

welcome - that's a great pic! Do you house them together? Or - was this just for the photo?

They are housed together in a 40 gallon breeder. I know it's controversial but have been watching them closely and they don't seem to mind each other. Tong fed so everyone gets their fair share. If they start getting nippy I would definitely separate them. Attaching a better shot of the setup. I had originally planned on breeding but after reading some of the forums it sounds like a ton of work and more expensive then I hoped lol.

They are Beautiful.. Are you ready for eggs? I hope you have a backup tank as the males will mate the female quite literally to exhaustion and can be pretty rough.. With him black bearding I'm sure if it hasn't happened yet she will be gravid soon. Being together if your breeding is one thing and it typically is only to do the deed and then they are in their own tanks afterwards..

** Moderator Statement** We don't want new comers that join and read this post, to think that this practice is safe as it really isn't especially a male and a female housed together..just because they don't seem to mind eachother right now doesn't mean it won't change or can't change in an instant and just like that you can have serious injuries..

Now is about the time that he starts realizing his "feelings". I used to let my male and female hang out together outside of their tanks until he hit the 9 month mark and he lunged for her. Unless you are ready for eggs, I would start thinking about separating them. Petco is having a 50% off sale on Zilla tanks this week if that helps.
