yes, wood since you’re probably not doing bioactive you wanna sanitize it by baking it in the oven at 200° for a few hours

no problem, theres another part to this hobby called bioactive, its all about creating a naturalistic environment along with a mini ecosystem. highly recommend looking into it in your free time, its interesting

Just remember that there are some woods that are quite toxic to them. Pine and Cedar are definite no no
