Wow...those pics are amazing!!! I've never been able to get good pics of lightening. Do you set your camera on a special setting to get those?
Canon EOS 500DIv got a few lightning pics ! always fun getting them !
what cam do you have ?
nice cam !! iv got the Rebel T1i (500D )
I want to try a long exposure next time there is a storm !? like when painting with lights !? just to play around a bit.
Awesome pics, Monique! Especially the lightning pics. SO wish I could get the twins interested in capturing cool things like that. All they want to do is portraits. I've tried telling them they could learn so much about their camera if they'd just start taking pics of anything and everything....trying different exposure settings to see what happens. Guess they just need to grow up a little more. LOL!
I find nature pics to be where I'd put most of my focus. Birds (especially eagles), wolves, deer, running streams with different F-stops and shutter speeds to get varying effects (like a million droplets vs. a smooth terrace of water). Lightning and rain....like what you've captured. The twins just don't find things like that all that exciting....I think they just don't know what they're missing! LOL!
Dittoawesome pics Monique. Lightening is fascinating. Thunder however, just sounds like nature is pissed.
Oh my gosh! Those lightning pictures are absolutely gorgeous. Do you mind if I used one of them ask my desktop background, or for a presentation for a physics project? (I'll give proper credit as is due )
