Stuck on fecal?

My girlfriend and I were bathing my beardie the other day when we noticed some stool (pictured) would not come loose. She gently rubbed the area with both qtips and a cloth, and we've had no luck.

We took him to an emergency vet on Friday evening, as I was concerned about a possible prolapse (although not entirely visible in the picture, there seems to be some tan/grey tissue connected to the stool). The vet we saw said he wasn't concerned with a prolapse, but admitted he was not a specialist and suggested we use sugar water to reduce swelling if we thought it was one.

Looking at it, it doesn't look like the other prolapses shown online (it's small, not pink/red, etc...), so I'm not really sure what it even is. I would appreciate any input on what this might be and how it might be treated.

Thank you for your time.

I would find a reptile vet. A prolapse is serious, the vet should have been concerned about that. Whatever that is, should NOT go back into your bearded dragon. It could be poop or it could be dry dead tissue.

While you are looking for a qualified vet, soak your dragon in warm water for about 30 minutes a day. If it is poop it should just fall off.

Just an update: Finally made it to a vet today. It turns out that it was ejaculate that got stuck in his vent and was accumulating stool.

I just saw this post and the first thing that I was going to say was it looked like a sperm plug that hasn't been pushed all the way out..

Wow, that's a new one for me! Glad it wasn't anything serious.

Wow.....how does that happen? How old is he?
Was he around other beardies?
How does what happen? This is a Male dragon that had a sperm plug, this is normal however they typically are able to push it out while pooping..

When does speed plug happen? I've never heard of it.....is it like a wet dream for a young dragon?

I dont know how often Sperm plugs occur but all males will have them but are unseen in their poop

Male dragons when they hit maturity just naturally produce sperm and sometimes it comes out and you just think it's poop/pee because it's mixed in and sometimes it hardens and makes a "plug". My male beardie will just leave little spots or puddles on his floor. My chameleon gets stuck ones that I have to remove for him. I really think he does it on purpose to make me do it LOL!
