Shiva's birthday...shes old

So! Shiva had her birthday on Aug 11th. She is officially over 18 now. I got her in 2002. Its the day that I got her and not her true birthday, but I imagine maybe 4 to 5 weeks before that day is her real birthday.

Still spends most time sleeping....cant blame her. Shes ancient...i suppose I would sleep a lot too. Haha. Lets hope she continues strong!!

That's insane! Hope that she's doing fine at that age. You never know, oldest bearded dragon to ever live was 18 years, 237 days. Coold have a Guinness World Record on your hands. Also, my beardie sleeps all the time as well, even though she's only 3 and a 1/2!

I agree that is insane! After looking at your profile picture I would have guessed she is a lot younger because of her size!

Yea...she isnt very large. Im wondering if that has something to do with it. Who knows. She still has her appetite thats no doubt. So if she makes it to April 7th.....we may have a record!!

Happy birthday to Shiva. That's an awesome story. I have had Spike for over 2 years now and she's doing great.

That's awesome! Please send prayers and good thoughts my way.. I have 3 female dragons Jade 5 and Ruby 4 years old both adopted from a previous owner and Jasper a male dragon adopted form my pet store about to be 2 years old. My pet store has a motto " adopt don't shop" he was raised as a baby and came from a breeder that kept him them and his siblings in unclean conditions, he was the last one left. after my California king snake passed away he must have been wispering in my ear... I had been saying to to Jasper every time I went into get worms 'Oh someone will get a home someday you are so cute!" Well that was me! I have a really gre at trusted vet been with him for years , though the loss of my son's first bearddie Emperor, my first beloved beardie Noodle, both rescues.. you can see what true loving hearts we have foe Beardies we have...they came into our lives when my son met the woman Jenn who became his wife who has a beardie that's how she got Jimmy Emperor.. Now my Beautiful Jade had skin cancer ... a sarcoma.. my vet did a cytology test to determine it..oh even before this Ruby is recovery from mouth rot, Jade's is not as better yet. So my vet said find a hospital that can do radiation so i found a great vetiinary hospital in my state that has radiation treatments and chemotherapy all kinds of specialists.. after she was examined they kept her to do a CAT Scan lots of other testing at the cost of $3800 I begged my husband please we must save her! But the vet warned a full radiation series could cost $6000. But all the vets and techs said we don't have the results back yet we don't know exactly what has to be done yet we will have to see the radiologist and Ruby has the same dermatitis on her neck that Jade has that ws sent out for a test! And Jade had a DENTAL CLEANING! she had issues with that which the vet said beardis are notorious for - dental issues! WOW! Jade had a brown spot on the front of her mouth now gone! I think this hospital may be the new vets for my 3 HEY - can you put a price on LOVE? what would any of you do if you were me? I wish you the best of luck, however, $6,000 dollars is a lot of money especially if they don't know everything.im lucky Spike is Happy and healthy.. Best wishes
