Of course you can ask! So unfortunately I had a coil bulb, for the uvb light. I overnighted the light fixture and a 10.0 bulb pictured below and am installing into his tank tonight! I didn’t realize the coil ones were a no go until I started reading through the forums. Sheldon loves his Dubia Roaches and he enjoys kale and bok choy for his greens. He likes carrots 1 time a week and he really enjoys yellow squash once a week as well. I built his tank myself because the one we purchased when we got him was way to tiny. I think I did okay but definitely have some better plans for the future tank. The dimensions are 36” long by 18” deep and 18” tall. Your beardie is so pretty! I love how much of her lighter yellow tones came through and the orange on her face really brightened up as well! She is adorable!!

Awesome thank you so much, I’m happy to know I ordered a good light. Will be so much better once I get that in there tonight. Yeah I’m going to begin working on another one soon. But am just going to enjoy this one for a month or two until I begin the big forever home lol

The new light came in and I got it installed. Along with the red night light!

Well I took the red night light out, had it on for 3 hours and it was keeping the temp at 77 degrees F in the tank. Without it, it looks better and the tank gets to about 69 degrees at night. Which I believe is fine right?

The colored bulbs are not good. They can mess with beardies' eyes. I turn off all lights at night with mine. They need that day/night cycle. 69° is good.

he’ll be alot healthier with that uvb, i know you’ve probably drilled a million holes in ur top, but if you can move the uvb more in the middle of the enclosure thatd be a lot better, he wont be getting much while basking, only when he’s running around. Which wouldn’t be an issue if he was an adult, but hes so tiny he can easily “hide” from it.

Here are some update pictures. We renamed Sheldon to Ghidorah, because we are pretty sure she is a girl lol. I made some changes to the tank lid, moved the uvb to the middle and changed the basking lights. 110 on the basking spots. 80 in the middle and 70- 74 on the cool side.
