Hello!

I had a 48x36x24 custom enclosure, but recently I had a uvb bulb break in my old enclosure and after cleanup, I didn't feel comfortable with my bearded dragon in there so I moved her to a 40g breeder.

What company or bearded dragon enclosure would you recommend for her new large home? She is a rescue with mbd and I just want her to be safe and I can't feel good unless I know shes in a good habitat.

I can recommend some -- a lot of people use Zen Habitats - Carolina Cages they are heavy and glass whereas Zens are light weight made out of PVC and Bamboo sides eliminating the reflection issue - dubiaroaches.com has started selling tanks as well https://dubiaroaches.com/products/4-x2-x2-pvc-reptile-enclosure
make sure you read all the info on them --- and they were taking pre orders for them but I see they have stopped now
https://apcages.com/ I dont know of anyone w/ this tank -
https://talkingserpents.com/product/p-v-c-reptile-enclosure-kit-4w-x-2d-x-2h/ I dont know of anyone that has gotten these tanks either ---
The only ones I know are the Zens I have two of them and the Carolina Cages --
You would need to do your research on them - some other people on here might have some ideas as well - if your a carpenter you can always DIY- --

Apcages have a long load time. Been waiting 20 weeks for mine. Should get it end of this month, hopefully.

Should I be afraid of the pvc? Ive seen a lot of conflicting information on pvc releasing toxic gases under heat :(

Zen habitats seems like a great enclosure, but I am not sure about the wood, I dont want formaldehyde or anything on that level with the laminate.

Thanks for the recommendations! is a 4x2x2 ideal?

Zens are good the PVC is good from what I hear and I have had no issues w/ my tanks nor have I heard about anyone else- contact Randy from Zens if you like- go to their website and chat ask questions- and yes you want a 4x2x2 tank

Why are you afraid to use it? You could go to home depot type store a grab a sheet of twinwall\coroplast and make a base as if for a c and c cage. She would never touch where you're afraid she will contact broken glass. You can also get the coroplast in many colors from the guinea pig store. It's super easy to make and with sides 3-4 inches tall, she should be able to see over and you can save money. I will say one of ours has the zen but we were the unlucky ones where the acrylic doors scratched up and we bought their new glass doors to replace them.
