I currently have my new baby in a PVC critter condo type enclosure. This enclosure has 2 fixed lights on the inside one of which is a T8 fluorescent bulb and the other is a ceramic socket. For my UVB bar I am currently using a Reptisun 10.0 24” bulb and in my ceramic socket I have a 100 watt Powersun heat & UV combo set up as his basking bulb. Is this too much UV? I have included a picture to show his set up. Note: since this picture I have added a Zen Habitats textured pvc floor mat for better footing and heat retention. The hot part of the tank stays at about 103°-105° and the cooler section stays at about 88°-90°. She also has rock ledgers to hide under to shelter from the uvb which can be raised as she grows but usually she stays out near the basking area. I chose not to heat at night as I live in San Diego and her tank stays at 80° even when cold outside. To keep humidity (and mess) at bay I also chose to just mist her in the morning instead of a water dish which she loves and drinks from regularly. Humidity is usually between 35-40.
Any changes recommended? Too much UV? Heat? Humidity?
She (I actually have no idea what sex she is) seems really happy but I want to make sure I am not making any critical mistakes...thanks in advance for feedback!!
