Recently recieved my Red Dunner boy roughly 7 weeks old. I got him last thursday May 26th, was overnighted. So It's been about 10 days and he's only eaten like maybe 10 meal worms in the 10 days. I've tried roaches, crickets, waxworms, dry food. All are small size by the way. He is drinking water, peeing and pooping. I have him in a 20 gallon tank, with a basking spot 105-110, cool side 80-85 with 40-45% humidity. I have the reptisun 10.0 HO UBV light over 3/4 of area. I've done everything I can think of, do you think this is just relocation stress? He is shedding too. How long can a new Baby go without reguarly eating? Any ideas greatly apprecipated. Thank you!

The uvb is a T 8 or T 5? This makes a difference of where it needs to be positioned+ are you getting basking temps w/ a digital probe thermometer? You want surface basking temps-- yes your dragon is going thru relocation stress and the shedding as well can knock their appetite out of wack- please No more mealworms-- the exoskeleton on the is too harsh on the stomach and too much risk for impaction- please start feeding salads like collards turnip kale mustard rinse before serving use your small dubias for lures to the salad bowl - the best feeder for this is bsfl- I can post websites for them as well as a good feeder bowl here later- we need to get your lighting situated first + this is extremely important but you are on the right track

It's a T5, I use a thermagun for my temps but also have the probes. I do put out collard greens, kale and apple diced, but doesn't touch it. He won't eat the roaches or crickets so just trying to get him to eat anything. I have the feeder bowls with the lip to prevent escapes.

Ok good on the bowl- try the dubias for now+ the bsfl are great for babies and a good staple feeder - the T 5 is it on the screen or unobstructed

I've had it both ways and didn't seem to make a difference in his eating

Don’t feed dried food because there is not much nutrients in them, I would definitely try BSFL and no need to add calcium to them they already have calcium. Don’t be alarmed if he don’t eat them a lot of beardies don’t like them. Try getting some some bee pollen and sprinkle it on the veggies. Also try ordering some Repashy Grub Pie and feed them that to stimulate an appetite.

Would you say the setup looks appropriate? Lightning etc

The setup isn’t bad for a baby, but keep in mind they grow very quickly, I would recommend upgrading that tank as soon as possible. A 40 gallon breeder is the minimum but I would recommend a 75 gallon or higher, but when you do keep a eye on the basking temperature. I would also recommend a temp gun as well.

For your 20 gallon tank the top of screen looks ok I see the screen looks to be a wide hole type if your taking the temp w/ the IR gun off that hammock its incorrect --- IR guns cannot read off of hammocks and are inaccurate off of certain materials I recommend getting two digital probe thermometers one for hot side of tank and cool side - place the probe where he sits for basking you dont haft to leave it there but you want accurate temps 105-110- how far distance from the UVB to where he can sit directly under it --- he needs time to acclimate to the tank and his surroundings as long as hes eating something he will be fine --- if he quits all together there is a problem

ignore the kale thing its a good staple feeder

It is true for babies I would recommend a 20 gallon because bigger tanks can stress them out and food can get lost but they grow very quickly
