My Beardie Drinks Water?

This may be a dumb question, but i’ve read from multiple places that bearded dragons don’t typically recognize standing water, so having it in their tank isn’t exactly a necessity. I’ve always kept a water dish in mines tank, he ocaisionally used to just lay in it. But over the past three-four days he had been drinking from it, perched up on the side for 2-5 minutes. is this normal at all?

They will drink if offered not all the time, just the same with my two. I’ll provide it 9/10 they’re just going to poop in it

i see. mine hasn’t pooped in it at all. i got him from a family that always provides water as well, but they said he never drank from it or interacted with it at all.

Some dragons do drink from their bowl. Mine just make messes with it.
