We purchased our first beardie yesterday after a ton of reading/video watching. So, far he/she has eaten only 1 cricket and sipped very little water but we're hopeful in the next day or 2, he/she will get back to normal having settled into his/her new habitat. We purchased a 40 gallon tank, UVB and basking bulb with the domes, food/water dishes, and some decor. Thanks in advance for any help/advice you offer and we'll post as the journey continues!

They go through some relocation stress, give him some time to settle in. Sometimes it helps to cover 3 sides of the tank to help them with the adjustment. When you say you got a UVB bulb, did you get a tube style bulb or does it fit in the dome? Coil and compact UVB bulbs aren't good for beardies. Coil bulbs hurt their eyes and the compact ones don't penetrate deep enough into the tank for them to benefit from them.
