can anyone tell me what kind of dragon this is? Got another and was told it was leatherback/red? Will his colors come out more since he is leatherback?

He is really good looking! His colors really depend on what the parents are. Leatherbacks can be more colorful but it isn't always the case. Likely he will retain those colors and will brighten just a bit. Remember to practice good hygiene between so not to possibly spread any parasites until you know your new one is clear.

So you think he will be colorful and not just a normal brown? Because his colors are very prominent and don’t look like they will fade! I just want him to have a little bit of color and not just brown since he is a leatherback also!

No they shouldn't fade especially those colors.

Its just important to feed good feeders, good greens, have proper lighting, heating, basically good husbandry. Any dragon has the potential to get brighter/fade depending on their care..
