Keeping track of everything

I am picking up my first ever beardies next month to start breeding, and I have done all the research, built the enclosures, ect.
I am just a bit confused about how to keep track of everything once you get things going, specifically how to keep track of who are related to prevent inbreeding.
I've tried to Google it, but I can't really find any useful information.

I would think just getting a binder and writing things down will be helpful. Or start an Excel spreadsheet on the computer.
