Hi everyone,

I have been looking at a lot of others enclosures and seems they are very minimal in items. I posted a picture of my tank and wondering if I can get some advice?
Thank you.

Your tank looks nice you could take out some decor for more floor space dragons like floor space- I would recommend you get 2 digital probe thermometers- the stick ons give inaccurate surface basking temps-- and that is what you want -

Thank you. So I would just stick the probe to the glass next to the basking area? Also I bought a plastic basking site (pictured) should I get the balsa wood instead that I see at pet stores?

What is the uvb your using is it a T 8 or T 5 looks like a T 8 - the probe needs to be placed where he sits for basking 10 min or so and you can place it on the side of the tank you don't need to leave it there what is the plastic basking thing your talking about?

You are right it is a T8. Would have got a T5 HO if I would of known better lol. The decor he is on in the picture is made of plastic. Not sure if it gets too hot since it absorbs more heat I imagine. Not sure if I should get the wood normally seen in bearded dragon enclosures.

I will go get some digital probe thermometers today.

Please get the T 8 in the tank directly over the basking decor- at this point he's not getting any uvb- the screen is blocking 30% of those rays- how old is the T 8 bulb? It should not be over 6 months changed at 5 months it should be 6-8 inches above the decor

It is only a month old. The fixture is pretty large. How would I get it in the tank? And thank you for helping me :)

Ok get it unobstructed - you can take the screen off or place the hood width wise over the end of the tank place you basking bulb next to it- 6-8 inches for the uvb on the screen have it butted up to the fixture

Ok lol. Hopefully last post on this. I posted pictures. My screen lid splits so I just placed the uvb fixture between them and opened the lid a few inches and have it resting over the basking area. I moved the basking light to the backside so it covers the area as well. I think I will invest in a new terrarium that has the outlets inside the enclosure.

I dont really know of any tank that has any type of hooks etc for UVB's -- I have a Zen and my UVB is inside the tank - your screen looks like it is a wide hole type so if you had a 24" Zoo Med w/ a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 it could sit on top of your screen - then your basking decor piece would need to be 8-10 inches directly underneath -- but a bigger tank would be nice -- it is up to you--- you will haft to upgrade the UVB as well -- tanks over 40 gallon need a T 5 bulb --

How big is your Beardie? If small then it should be fine to have lots to keep busy. But a bigger one needs more room. What size tank is it?
