i’m a first time beardie owner, so if you guys have any tips or tricks to keep my new best friend happy, i’d appreciate it!!
Thanks so much! Will I be able to tell when he's ready for handling? Or do I just have to guess? Thanks again!Welcome to the Bearded Dragon Forum!
Yes you definitely want to let him be for a couple days, moving is always stressful.
You can try hand feeding crickets or veggies. That way they start associating you and your hand with food.
Aw thank you!!!Love the name!
It's kind of a thing you have to get a feel for. When he starts eating consistently and doesnt show stress Mark's you can start by putting your hand in the enclosure and seeing how he reacts. And go from thereThanks so much! Will I be able to tell when he's ready for handling? Or do I just have to guess? Thanks again!

thanks! he’s been eating so good now that’s he’s more used to me! he’s a hungry little guyHello, another thing to try is feeding from the side of him. They really don't like anything coming over the top of them, since they have that 3rd eye up there for predators. Hope this helps you it did with mine and he is 10 months old now and always takes his treats out of my hand. Good Luck.
