Impaction is basically some sort of matter that is unable to pass. Usually it's fecal/urate, sometimes it could be substrate or something else that was eaten.
To prevent impaction you want to make sure your dragon is hydrated. Veggies and bugs are the most common way to provide water. Bearded dragons are able to squeeze even the smallest amount of water out of things. You can also get them to drink plain water by dripping it on the tip of their nose and getting them to drink.
