Help me! (light doesn't work)

I have a 75 gal tank with a split screen top. I usually have 2 (22 in Reptisun T5HO light in 24 in hoods. One side went out and so I changed the bulb but still didn’t work. So I ordered brand new hood and bulb(2 day shipping) and when I received it I placed a brand new bulb in it.
IT DOESN’T WORK. I tried plugging it into a different socket but that didn’t work either.
I cannot keep replacing the hood because they are not cheap.
The help I need is if there is another kind of setup I can use.
Bud does have the hood and light that covers half of his tank which works on his hot side.
Please any suggestions? Thank you in advance of your attention to my problem.

I would try to repair it, after all there is very little that can go wrong with them so it shouldnt be hard to fix. You will have to dismantle it so you can get to the wires on the lamp holders. First look and see if you can see any obvious scorching or burnt wires. If there is then it probably overheated and burnt out, though I am doubtful this is the cause its worth checking. Next, see if any of the wires have rattled loose. Electrical things vibrate and screws can undo over time and wires pop out. Tighten every screw(power off) and check if there is any current with and electrical screwdriver or multimeter(power on), careful you dont give yourself a jolt here. If you know how to use a continuity meter it would be handy. The other possibility is the fixture has an internal fuse or starter motor. You will have to open it and look inside to find out.

If it's a brand new light, it should be under warranty. I bought a Zoomed T5 hood before and it went out a few months after I got it, I contacted them and they replaced it at no charge.
