We are a new family with a 3-month old baby beardie named Rocky! (as in Balboa) :)
Taking him to his first herpetologist. Just a few questions...
  • Any recommendations on what type of container/carrier he should be in? And is it important that it is covered?
  • Do we need some warmers or will he be okay without them?
  • Should we NOT feed him before the visit...or would it be okay?
Thank you so much for your advice and happy to join this forum~~!!

How long is he/she?
For a terrarium it depends on his length, so that would be helpful to know.
For lights, he will need a UVB and a UVA bulb.
The third question I'm not sure about, you'd have to ask someone else about that.

Hello and welcome to the forum! So for a travel cage you can use a plastic container and cut holes in it. Or a much better option is buying a travel cage. Most of the time you don't need heat since it's only going to be for a little while, unless it's a long road trip. You should be fine to feed him couple hours before just make sure he basks right after he eats.
