I'll probably sound pretty dumb to some of you, but I'm new to the beardie game and I've been doing a lot of research on bearded dragons lately. Can't help but notice that there are different species of bearded dragon? For example; trans green, leather back etc. Just wondering what all that is about. Thanks

Well, no one here is dumb, we just have information incorrect. Now from what I know, there are different species of bearded dragons, six of them I believe found so far. But what you're thinking of are not species but actually "trends" or "morphs" they can be seen as, and this is all to do with their Gene pools (the types of genes they have). So with this, one morph of bearded dragon could be a Citrus Leatherback. Which would potentially end up to be a pastel yellow looking dragon with a smooth back.

Do different morphs sell for higher prices than others. And would it be possible to have a almost complete hard green bearded dragon?

Yup, rarer morphs sell for higher prices. Some of these could be zeros, paradox, and also depending on the bloodline. Leatherbacks sometimes can be expensive as well, but some petstores sell them without knowing the morph of the beardie. It is possible to get a completely green dragon, I would say it's possible to get a dragon in pretty much any color depending on it's Gene pool.

There's a lot out there to explore. Many new species to be found, traits to be found, and morphs to be uncovered. It's a trully amazing and cool thing.

You can see some of these at FireandIcedragons.com
and
HerebDragons.com

They can get really expensive depending on their Gene pools.
Beautiful creatures they all are.

There are different species of dragons, there's a picture of the different ones floating out there on the internet, but morphs are your colors and your scales. Then there are traits like translucent and hypomelanastic. My oldest girl was sold as a fancy dragon at Petsmart. Turns out it was because she is a citrus hypo.

I found this today, didn't get a chance to read through it but it has lots of pictures of different types of dragons http://www.clubfauna.com/articles/reptiles/types-of-bearded-dragons-morphs/
