We have 2 baby bd maybe a few months old if that, they both dont seem to take an interest in any veg that we put in but they LOVE the crickets. At what age should you feed what? do they only eat crickets at a very young age? we've tried carrot zaccini and rocket but it just goes to waste. Also, should we be dusting our crickets with calcium (we call them ghost crickets haha) every time we feed our bds or just once a day? coz at the moment we are doing it every time they are fed.

Babies tend not to eat their greens and veggies. But you should still offer them daily. When your beardies reach adult age, they will eat more salad than protein. Try cutting up your veggies, put them in a mound and then sprinkle the greens on top.

Good veggies are zuccini, snap peas, green peppers, red cabbage, carrot, sweet potato, butternut squash.

Good greens are collard greens, mustard greens, red leaf lettuce.

These are not all inclusive, just a start.

not adding anything new, just agreeing to offer salad every day...try butternut squash under greens. most dragons love it and they have to eat through some greens to get to it.

And some have suggested taking greens and feeding them by hand to give them some movement. This isn't totally natural, but it did help me for a time when my guy was little.

We did it for some time, but our herp vet told us that proper diet would never warrant this. But we did when we felt he might not have had as much calcium as he could have.

Maybe some others could chime in?
