Hey everyone! Was wondering if anybody had any information on Calciworms??! I know they don't need dusting as they are already packed full of calcium but confused as to whether I should still dust his Dubai roaches or do the Calciworms contain sufficient intake for the day?? Help!!

Calci worms are not silk worms. Calci worms are another brand name of Black Soldier Fly Larva. Silk worms are a different kind of bug. I believe one meal of BSFL or silk worms is sufficient for daily calcium. You still need to use a multi vitamin a few times a week.

Thanks for the help,so much misleading and conflicting info out there! Would you happen to know how many worms per meal my 5 month old beardie should be eating?

With all live feeders and little dragons, the rule of thumb is to feed them as many as they want in a 5-10 min period. They can eat a lot and BSFL are small so they could go through a lot in one sitting. I would mix the two bugs together and maybe even offer something else like small supers. Variety is the key!

I will try to introduce more variety, he devours the Dubais and calciworms . We tried crickets and mealworms and although he did eat them you could obviously tell he wasn't as fond! My partner keeps telling me I'm over feeding him as his tummy is huge but I do exactly as u say, feed him for ten mins, 3 times a day

You don't want to feed mealworms as they are hard to digest with the chitlin that is in their shells. They need the protein with as how fast they grow.

Well if he's so huge his belly is dragging on the floor, then limited his bugs. Little ones grow fast and get long so they may look fat but then hit a growth spurt and start to get more proportional.
