Beardie way more active than normal

Hello all, my beardie is about 6 months old now. The past couple days he has been way more active than usual, walking around the tank, staring at me from the door opening (we have a glass tank with fold out doors) and ramming his head into the glass. I go over and talk to him, pet him some and then he'll go back to his sunspot and repeat every couple hours. Is this normal? Is he just demanding attention? Lol. I thought something may be wrong like he is constipated but he has more energy than ever and isn't lethargic and i haven't noticed any bumps on his back or bowel movement issues. I'm just curious because this is very new behavior for him
