Hello I am planning to adopt an adult beardie in the next few weeks and am trying to estimate the amount of Dubia roaches to buy. From what I know adult bearded dragons need to get a small number of insects daily, although I have herd from a few websites that you should feed daily? Anyway I plant to feed a mixsture of dubia, crickets, ans super worms, and I think I will be feeding dubia 4 times a week, I just need to know how many to feed an adult and what size. In the future I plan to breed them but for right now Im am ordering them online in bulk.
thank you.

Adult dragons needs salad every day not bugs -- the feeding schedule for a adult dragon is 80% salad and 20% bugs when babies its reversed--- here is a nutritional website please look at it --

I am going to give you other websites for bugs/ worms -- dubias are a wonderful staple feeder -- better than crickets but it is nice to give them variety --
https://symtonbsf.com/ these do not need to be dusted w/ calcium D3 like the staple feeder

Please review your tank set up so we can get you off to a good start w/ your dragon---- it is imperative that the lighting in the tank be correct - basking temps and proper UVB is the crucial and over all health to the dragon ---- Please NO COILS for UVB or colored heat lamps --- they are harmful to your dragon---- basking temps should be taken w/ a infrared heat gun / and or digital probe --- no stickons -- stick ons can be used for ambient temps and to keep a ball park figure of heat in the tank but that is all -- your infrared heat gun and digital probe will give you the most accurate temps for your dragon - if you have any more questions please ask
Feed your dragon adult size dubias and as many as he will eat in a 10 minute time span
Thankyou, I know to give vreen everyday but I dont know how often to feed bug whether it ehould be everyday or evry 2 days ive herd many answere from many websites. I have herd the 10 min as much as they can eat rule, but as i said i need to get an estimate to know how many dubias to order. If you or anybody else has a rough estimate for how many dubia a bearded dragon will eat in a week i would be very appreciative, thankyou.

I feed my adult dragon dubias and at this time hes eating has slowed down as its that time of year -- dubias last a long time - I would set up a 10 gallon aquarium or tote and order say 100 or so and feed them dubia food and carrots for hydration --- they dont stink and they dont fly or anything like that --- I have kept them in my 10 gallon aquarium for a long time - I cant tell you how many he will eat in a week or so they are all different --- a good size dubia maybe 4 or so per feeding -- they are filling -- you will haft to see what your dragon will eat -- I would offer him dubias 2-3 times per week - he may not eat them every time --
So for an extremly rough estimate 4 adult times 3 times a week would be 12 large dubia a week so then I should buy around 100 large dubia would last me about a month or a half? does that sound about right?
