Please put him in a separate tank - he is going to need lots of TLC to survive and yes he will not survive w/ all the other beardies -- get his surface basking temps on par and UVB this is crucial for him -- I am afraid he may not make it -- as long as he is eating good we want to keep him that way --- I am posting to another person that can help you out better than I

She responded w/ this---- I agree, separate immediately or he will get his feet, tail, etc eaten and almost certainly be killed.
If you need help getting him set up please ask -- getting him into a small tote like this will be better for him

thank you for your reply.i used to own a reptile breedery and i am shocked, but he is the healthiest beardie i have ever had.but, at 7 months he is the same size as he was at hatching.it's amazing.has anyone else heard of this.he is named after university of washington medicine.u.w. .this one is a survivor.

today we got him a really nice 20 gallon with sealed vented lid.i am doing pebbles for the liner.he should thrive.i can't believe he is doing so well.my biggest concern is diet.he is 10 cm.but at 7 months old he should be on greens, but he eats like a hatchling.healthy, but uncharted.and he may never get to be a dad.but, we love him.

Pebbles? If they are small rocks that is not good -- paper towels for textured shelf liner NON adhesive is best -- make sure the temps and UVB is up to par --

uv is good and the pebbles are of a good size to big to eat.the others thrive on them.we did use other mediums but the seem to like rocks best.he has a lizard log for shelter and a small swimming dish.limbs to climb.about all he eats is crickets and mostly mealworms, but we offer him greens every other day.lately he sleeps alot, but still active when hes active.i wish he slept less.any ideas?

Babies do not brumate - he should be doing a lot of basking- are you getting temps w/ a digital probe thermometer- what are you using for a uvb

blue 50 watt petco uv bulb.temp is good.i think he was impacted.he pooped a crystalized chunk that looked like human plasma.so, i started 30 minute warm baths and during bath gently massaging his abdomen toward cloaca every ten minutes.he is now much more active and seems to feel better.more awake.there are no more chunks .that scared me.can you believe he is over 7 months old.2.26 grams and 10 cm

blue 50 watt petco uv bulb---Is this a colored bulb or is this the brand name? You want a long tube fixture not a coil and NO colored bulb at all!!!!!!!!!!! Hes not going to thrive w/ a coil or colored bulb--- I can post links for good UVB's if you like -- at this point he needs good UVB

if you don't mind ,why not the colored bulb?it doesn't show blue,it just looks blue when not turned on.it's a 50 watt uv reptile bulb from zoo med.i don't agree with the bar lighting as there is no gradient with the uv.
can you believe that is a regular size cereal bowl and he is over 7 months old.
back to the bulbs.i was once a member of the minnesota herpetology society, minneapolis,as well as the sole owner of iddy biddy pets of minneapolis which dealt primarily with exotic reptiles and i've always had the best luck with these types of bulbs with small reptiles or enclosures less than 2 feet.
