Hi all,

I have 2 female bearded dragons about 5 years old each, they don’t get along.
They have been very well cared for, both are extremely healthy and vigorous, they eat crickets, super worms and horn worms as well as a variety of beardie safe veggies, cilantro, cucumber, carrots, mango, apple, string beans, rosemary, kale, bok choi, sweet potato etc… although they prefer the live food much more than the veggies.

“Spike” has been with us since she was the size of my finger, my son was hoping she was a he so named her “Spike” she is super friendly and loves attention, swimming in the bathtub occasionally and exploring the house.

“Red” has been with us for about 3 years, my sons friend gave it to him and again he was hoping she was a he, we didn’t know how to figure that out then, but we learned quickly they don’t like each other. She was very skiddish at first, always hiding and seemed afraid she has a lot of red coloring hence the name “Red”. Now she is curious, is an excellent hunter of crickets, eats her veggies much better than Spike. I think she is older than Spike maybe around 7 yrs old but we are just not sure because his friend got her as an adult also and has had her for 2 yrs.

I was never involved with either of them until last year. My son moved out and didn’t want to take them so I became their new parent.

I have a background in animal husbandry and habitat creation. I built custom tanks for both of them, the tanks are 4 feet wide, 2 feet deep and 2 feet tall (see attached pictures) both tanks have a built in fan to circulate air, sliding front doors that are dirty in the picture, sorry, there is a UV-b LED light, a heat bulb light and a heat element that plugs into a light socket, the temp is maintained during the daytime between 80-100 depending on the time of year, there is a timer for the LED UV light, heat bulb light and the fan so the temperature at night is maintained between 65-80 depending on the time of year. The heat element stays on always.

I’ve become attached to these little girls but it’s becoming more difficult to find the time needed to give them as much care as they need, Bearded dragons are high maintenance so buy a snake if you want an easy pet, the wife is not a fan either.

I’m giving them away tank and all to someone who has experience with bearded dragons or high maintenance reptiles and will care for them properly. There will be a test so don’t reply if you’ve never owned a reptile that requires daily feeding and care.

Basically I’m looking for someone who is a full time reptile hobbiest who appreciates and understands changing their habitat by adding or removing things to keep them engaged and prevent them from becoming bored, depressed and sick…..if all your reptiles are in glass tanks then you don’t get it, don’t reply.

Sorry to be harsh but I’m offering over a thousand dollar set up for free and don’t want them ending up being neglected.

If you feel your a good fit send me some pics of your set ups, a picture is worth a thousand words on how someone cares for an animal.

If no one replies no problem i hope you enjoy my pics.
