10 Gallon Tank Set Up

Right now I have my 2 month beardie in a 10 Gallon tank. I am upgrading him in January, right now he is only 6 inches so I don't want to overwhelm him with space.
I have a 75watt basking bulb right now. The temperature gets to between 100-110. Although that's how hot the highest point on his tree is, he lays on the fake leaves and crawls closer to the lamp. Should I get 100w and move the leaves away? Is he okay being that close to the lamp?
I also have the compact reptisun uvb 10.0. I am only using this until we upgrade tanks. The dome I have isn't the right size. Does anyone else use that bulb? What bulb do you recommend?
Also, what are the best basking sites for a small tank. Right now he lays on the small tree, and his fake leaves (are those okay to have in there?)
What's the best thing for him on the cool side? I have a big log and don't like how chunky it is and it gives crickets lots of space to hide. Since I got him all he likes to do is bask so the only time I see him on the cool side is when he is tucked in his blanket sleeping. He stays in his blanket until the lights come on in the morning.
Should I have a water bowl in there? He never uses it.
Sorry for all the questions. Just want to make sure I do everything right.

A 10 gallon tank isn't really large enough, even for a 6" baby. It won't provide a sufficient "cool side". I would suggest getting a 20 gallon long, asap. I would toss the compact UVB bulb, and invest in a mercury vapor bulb (MVB). They're more expensive, but one would provide your little buddy with heat, and UVB. If the warmest spot is 100-110, but he still tries to climb higher, I wouldn't worry. As long as he's mostly active, eating, and pooping regularly, he'll be fine. He'll move away if it gets too hot. Take the water dish out. It's unnecessary, and will only lead to elevated humidity (especially in such a small space), and upper respiratory infections. Most beardies won't drink standing water anyway. They get their water mostly from their food, being "misted" (do this outside the enclosure, if possible), and from bathtime. As long as he's not trying to eat the fake plant, he should fine. If you could provide a picture of the entire enclosure, that would be awesome. Sorry for the continuous paragraph. I didn't take structure into consideration.
Hope this helps.

I'm actually hoping to get a bigger one on black Friday! I'll provide a picture tonight. Where is the best place to get this bulb?

Mercury Vapor Bulbs can be found at just about any pet store. You can also find them on several websites.

Just until I can get another bulb, is the other one okay just for now? Is he not getting any uvb from that bulb?

The reason they are bad is the light is focused in a small area causing eye damage, they are really a only in a pinch bulb..

I am ordering all the right bulbs this weekend and getting a 40 gallon Friday so he will only have it until I get his new tank set up.

The COIL bulbs are the ones that are the problem. Compact fluorescents for a temporary tank is just fine.
