1. Patience: Being cold-blooded, they process what's going on slowly. Move slowly.
2. Watch their breathing: Fast breathing = fight or flight. Holding breath = Not quite sure what you're up to. Slow breathing = relaxed.

Bugsy usually won't eat unless I'm right there with him.
If he misses the food in his bowl a few times he'll just stare at me until I hand feed the rest to him.
But he's not spoiled or anything. lol
I used 1/2 in. sanded white pine. The flooring is slate tile with repticarpet in the "bedroom" and the sliding doors are 1/4 in. plexiglass. I even make the track for the doors.
