PMy beardie is doing a big shed, he's about 7 months old 18 1/2 inches. When I first got him I bought special shedding spray for reptiles. It contained Jojoba oil. I was wondering if you can make your own at home? Add a tiny amount of 100% jojoba oil to misting water. I wasn't about to try without asking advice

That Reptile Spray is the bomb! I used it on Dexter once and in 3 days her belly shed came off in a sheet. I really don't know about making it yourself.

Whatever you use you want to make sure it gets used when the lights go out to eliminate the risk of getting cooked under the lights. Also, you want to check your dragon in the morning to make sure the product soaked in completely and isn't sitting on their scales. A friend of mine did a test on coconut oil vs 100% pure aloe. The aloe soaked into the skin by morning, the coconut oil was still there and needed to be washed off.
