Need to sell off some dubia fast.

I got mine Wednesday, all safe and sound! They were packaged really well and there was only one casualty, a small nymph! I had ordered 250, breeders and nymphs for my young dragon and they will be just the right amount to keep feeding her until the tiniest nymphs grow and the breeders give...

Wanting to do things the right way

Welcome to the group! I'm glad to see another parent taking the opportunity to learn about their child's future pet before bringing it home. I've been in the group for about three weeks and have learned much and feel very comfortable with my daughter's dragon care. We both enjoy her little...

Those sound like good prices and I'm glad for you. I'm not considering the dome or spot-type lamps, except for basking heat, because the dragons need UVB available throughout their habitat, not just in one area.

I've been doing some reading, the input wattages of the HO ballasts are what is different about the fixtures. A 22" HO T5 takes in 24 watts but a 22" under-counter non-ho runs on 14-17 watts. I understand enough about electricity to know that if I run the 24 watt HO tube on a 17 watt fixture...

Thank you for the comments Josh, Diego and Jarich. I'm still searching, for the HO fixture now. I can get one with the discounts on Petco for $50 with all the tax and shipping. Will search on ebay, haven't done that yet, doesn't seem the place to get new/gently used electrics, but I've been...

    Howdy

Welcome to the group! My kids play Minecraft, too, isn't it a great game? They've been playing since they were 6 or so and they are in middle and high school now. The game has so many ways the kids can learn and grow into; mods, the console commands, creating your own worlds to play in...

Ok, so we've had our dragon girl almost 2 weeks and I'm still trying to figure out her lighting so I can get it bought. She has a temporary UVB lamp borrowed from the Russian tortoise who can go outside most days and get his. According to what I've been reading, the best practice is to get a...

    Beardies fun from Russia!

Yeah, I've been trying to figure all the names out, too, and the best I've seen is that they have to do with breeder's lines. The only actual morphological genetics at play are back texture, hypomelanism, and transparency. Mine came from a dam who is described as a "Rainbow Citrus Hypo 100%...
