Hey guys! Loki's been doing awesome. He's a big eater and he has regular BMs, but I noticed that when he is basking, he is often in this position:
His basking spots are 6 inches from the uvb and around 7 inches from the lamps (I have a heat light and a ceramic heat light; it's the only way to...
Well the thing is, I can't have dubias. I live in Florida and they are illegal here. It seems like almost everyone who has Discoid roaches are either out or they are regrowing their colony so they won't have any available for months, so I don't have the option of buying roaches monthly. My...
Thanks for the response! Since I've posted this he decided to make a liar out of me. He loves hunting the crickets and gobbles them up. So now I give him about 10-15 crickets, 15 phoenix worms, and if he is still hungry, he gets all the crickets he can eat. I still hate crickets. And I really...
Yes, the bowl is for worms...and it works okay for the less active crickets xD. Right now I am feeding him Crickets and pheonix worms. The only two food sources getting offered or that I even have to offer. I have roaches but I can't feed out of them yet. My colony is way too small and I don't...
Right now he's on phoenix worms. If I had a wine cooler, I'd totally look for cheaper bulk, but at the moment I can only buy as much as I can feed off within two to three weeks :( I'm starting my discoid roach colony, but there's no way I can feed out of it for quite a while. His breeder says he...
Aw okay...this makes me feel a bit better. He only ate maybe a few worms this evening, but he did have a pretty big breakfast... Just as long as he doesn't starve himself out xD
He arrived yesterday morning and I've been letting him settle in, but I couldn't help but take a few pics! He is 4 months old and just a hair over 10" long. He's a hypo leatherback 100% trans. And he is absolutely adorable! He loves his reptiworms, but if i put crix in his cage first and wait...
Welp. My new guy, Loki, got here yesterday. All I had on hand at the moment were waxworms, so I gave him ten of those (since then I've gotten crix and reptiworms; waxworms were just an emergency staple). He gobbled them all up, nevertheless. Same day I picked up my reptiworms at the post office...
Well crap....I fed my crix flukers gutload and I fed my roaches that too! I think I now know the reason why I didn't hear them at all last night ._. Crap. I hope they haven't gone belly up. Taking the gutload outta my roach bit asap too.
Yep, that's where I got my current stock from! Highly recommended. Getting 100 more mixed nymphs and two pairs of adults from The Roach Crossing. Super excited!
