Well, we have six out and about now. They are all eating and getting used to being handled. Tomorrow will be cricket time for them, so we'll see how they do. :D They are awfully cute!
Three are fully out and eating their greens. I have to admit I think I've already picked the one that I want to keep. :D A fourth has pipped, I'm hoping a few more pip in the next 24hrs. These guys are pretty awesome!
Well, here are the first round of pics. We have one out, another one has pipped and we're just waiting on the rest. Hopefully they start pipping soon and this doesn't turn into a two week process. :D
I was wrong! He pulled his head back in, and another egg has pipped!!!! I don't know if I'm more excited or scared right now. lol At least the hubby will be home most of today to keep an eye on all of them. Hopefully he'll take pics as things happen. *fingers crossed*
Well, the first egg pipped last night, but nothing else has happened. I'm thinking the little one couldn't handle the stress of pipping but I'm not doing anything quite yet. I know snakes can take a day or so to leave their egg once they've pipped, so I'm waiting. The other eggs are all the...
So, no new pics, however I do have a video of him get his roaches tonight. He's always super excited to see the pink cup which means protein is coming his way. lol Tonight he almost jumped out of his enclosure for the first roach, so I videoed his second one. :D
Just when I think I'm ready, Big Ang throws me another curve ball. She just laid her third clutch. Sixteen more eggs, two definite slugs, seven that I can tell are good, and seven maybes. I'm really hoping this is her last fertile clutch. :D
And I am still waiting for the first clutch to...
I have found there are too many variables to be able to give you a definite yes or no. Depending on the ambient temps of your room it could be perfect, or it could be too high or low. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Well, we've started the countdown. Their tubs are set up, and just waiting for the eggs to start pipping. Candled them again last night and I could see feet on the one!!! It 'waved'. I will definitely take pics as soon as something starts happening. :D
No eggs have hatched yet. However, we candled the eggs last week, and got to see tails and movement! I'm waiting, it could be anywhere from this weekend to a month from now. Don't worry, I will be posting pics as soon as I see something happening. :D
We also have a mantid egg case in the...
Sorry I haven't taken any new pics of Rocky. I've just been lazy in the picture department. However, I do have a little update. He has started eating Dubias, and still loves his greens. I mean, when I open in tank to feed him in the morning he will run across the enclosure and jump into my...
My female is more willing to let me handle her, but she's also a stuck up snob. The male is still not comfortable being held for long periods, but he loves when I talk to him.
Big Ang came with her name, and she fits it! Chubbiest beardie I've ever seen! lol As for Rocky, he is named after Rocky Balboa since he's such a fighter. :D
