You know you're a bearded dragon owner when ...

I have all kinds of fireflies in my yard so my Beardie won't be outside much unless he is in a screen cage.

what is the best mvb bulb

No, I agree. Heat inside the tank seems dangerous to me.

Below the screen. The long end caps let you put them anywhere. I don't want an issue with the UVB not reaching the bottom of the tank. I suppose his basking spot would get him high enough. I do like the price of your fixtures :)

what is the best mvb bulb

I was more thinking of the fixture for ease of moving them up or down without mounting something to the tank top.

what is the best mvb bulb

This is my lighting plan for my new tank 42x22x20...Get the Exo Terra Light Cycle Unit Electronic Dimming Terrarium Lamp Controller. This takes 2, 36'' bulbs. In one use the Zoo Med 36" Repti Sun 10.0 Fluorescent Bulb and in the other use the Zoo Med 36" Repti Sun 2.0 bulb for natural light...

I'm here for some good info!

I've been to several other (lizard) forums in the past few months, I must say this in the most informative one so far!

It would seem to me that the further away you put that MVB the more over-all area you would heat (like the intire 40 gal tank). From the info I've got you only want to use MVB in a BIG area like a room. Heard horror stories about burns from them.

Total newbie to the reptile world - need your advise

Exactly what I was looking for! I have a 42x22x20 tank for my future Beardie with a front door. I was going to use wood with 1/4in wire but I like the looks of this much better. Could you please give me more detail ot the screen top? My husband is "weak on the handyman skills" so I will probably...

I'm here for some good info!

I have been searching in the forum for information on "wild" rocks. (I didn't know what else to call them) My husband picked up 5 nice pieces of sandstone when he was in Arizona last week. I know I read somewhere you were to "sanitize" them in an oven. Any information on it would help as I don't...

I'm here for some good info!

I am looking for any and all information on Bearded Dragons. I have yet to get my first Beardie as I figure it would be a good idea to know what I need to know BEFORE I get one! I had 2 Water Dragons about 6 years ago and I didn't do my research first. Needless to say things didn't go well. IT...
